about ME

I work with adolescents (16+) and adults across a range of concerns, with particular interest in trauma, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating and body image concerns, neurodivergence, and broader emotional or relational difficulties.

Many of the people I see feel weighed down by longstanding patterns, or a sense of being stuck in ways that are difficult to shift. Others are navigating questions around identity, health, life transitions, or self-understanding.

Therapy can offer a space to process these experiences in a supported way and move toward change that feels meaningful and sustainable.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and transparent. I aim to create an environment where people feel able to reflect openly and speak honestly about what is going on for them without fear of judgement.

While compassion and understanding are central to my work, I also value clarity, humour and honesty in the therapy room. I facilitate evidence-based, multidisciplinary care, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what is actually useful for the person in front of me.

My practice is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and inclusive of diverse experiences of gender and sexuality. I have been practising since 2021 and have worked across a variety of private settings.

I came to psychology following a background in the creative industries, and I genuinely love the work that I do.

It is a privilege to meet and work with my clients, and it is deeply meaningful to be trusted with the stories people bring into the therapy room. I understand that meeting with a new therapist can feel daunting, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions you might have about coming into the clinic.

No question is too big or small.

Therapeutic Approaches

My work draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Person-centred therapy

  • Narrative therapy

  • Somatic approaches

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Attachment-based

  • Neuro-affirming

  • Person Centred

  • Trauma informed

For eating disorders, I also draw from specialist frameworks including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E)

  • Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM)

  • MANTRA (Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults)

These approaches are used flexibly depending on the individual, with therapy tailored to what is most helpful for the person and the concerns they are bringing into the room.

ABout wyrd Clinic

Wyrd Clinic is a small, independent psychology practice based in Milton, Brisbane.

Wyrd is pronounced “word.”

The name comes from an old English concept relating loosely to fate, circumstance, and the unfolding of events over time.

Wyrd Clinic is intentionally small, and I am currently the only clinician in the practice. This allows for continuity of care and a sense of intimacy that can sometimes be difficult to achieve in larger clinics.

The space itself has been designed to feel calm, sensory-friendly and welcoming. The clinic is located within the Douglas Street Design Centre in Milton, surrounded by trees and a quiet courtyard setting. Parking is available within the centre, and both Milton train station and nearby bus routes are within walking distance.

Wyrd Clinic welcomes referrals for adolescents (16+) and adults.
